FIFEC Conference Code of Conduct
The Florida Insurance Fraud Education Committee welcomes you to FIFEC and wants to be certain that you have a safe, comfortable and enjoyable time at the conference. All FIFEC conference attendees, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, volunteers and guests are expected to behave and conduct themselves in the utmost professional manner. Your cooperation with the following code of conduct while at the conference will help us achieve this objective.
Your FIFEC issued name tag MUST be worn at all times at every FIFEC Conference event. Accordingly, all class attendees must present their name badges to be scanned when entering or leaving each class session. This is for everyone’s safety and security; there will be NO EXCEPTIONS.
Please take a moment to identify the exit locations in each classroom, ballroom or other venue. In the event of an emergency, please use the nearest exit.
Audio taping, videotaping and photography of FIFEC Conference Events are prohibited without the prior written approval of the FIFEC Executive Board. Audio taping, videotaping and photography during presentations are only allowed with the expressed consent of the presenter(s). Individual selfies in public areas are permitted.
Adjusters seeking continuing education credits must follow the instructions read before each class in order to secure the credits. Failure to comply with the instructions may result in the forfeiture of the continuing education credits for that class.
Class proctors are valued FIFEC volunteers. Abusive behavior towards any FIFEC volunteer will not be tolerated. If there is an issue with a class proctor, please remain respectful and relay your concern to the Operations Desk personnel.
No attendee, speaker, exhibitor or sponsor may bring a guest to FIFEC unless their attendance has been previously approved by FIFEC’s Executive Committee. Approved guests must pay the appropriate guest fee and may only attend the events indicated on their name badge which must be worn at all times while attending FIFEC functions. This applies to family members, including children. Unapproved guests will not be permitted to enter any FIFEC event or function. Guest passes may be purchased at the Conference Registration Desk.
Networking and establishing professional relationships are huge advantages of attending FIFEC and are greatly encouraged. However, only official FIFEC Conference Exhibitors and Sponsors may solicit business at FIFEC. Placing business cards or other materials in Exhibitor Hall areas, the FIFEC Connection Corner and Sponsor Gallery tables not assigned to you, or in any FIFEC Conference designated classrooms or meeting spaces violates this precept. Those interested in exhibiting or sponsoring at a future FIFEC Conference may inquire at info@fifec.org.
The Florida Insurance Fraud Education Committee has zero tolerance for violence, threats, harassment, disparaging or derogatory remarks of any kind directed at or about any conference exhibitor, speaker, volunteer or attendee. Concerns regarding unprofessional or inappropriate behavior should be reported to the FIFEC Executive Committee as soon as possible.
These protocols have been established to ensure that everyone enjoys a safe, comfortable, professional and welcoming environment at FIFEC. Failure to comply may result in your expulsion from the FIFEC conference without a refund, your being denied attendance at future FIFEC conferences and other sanctions or penalties as prescribed by law. Your anticipated cooperation will ensure that FIFEC remains Florida’s premier insurance fraud educational conference.
