GRANTS
FIFEC is a not for profit educational entity whose mission is to provide high quality educational training opportunities at the lowest cost possible, to law enforcement, firefighters, government investigators, prosecutors and insurance professionals who are engaged in the fight against insurance fraud. In support of FIFEC’s mission, each year the FIFEC Grant Subcommittee awards a limited number of scholarship grants to qualified applicants. Scholarship grants may include seminar tuition, lodging, and banquet registration at no cost to the recipient or their agency. Grant applications are now being accepted for the 2024 FIFEC Conference.

The Grant Application is to be completed online via the Portal before the deadline of 04/15/24. Applicants who are presenting a course or are in some other way actively participating in the FIFEC Conference will be given priority consideration by the Grant Subcommittee. Any and all special needs or requests by a grant applicant must be incorporated into their grant application and/or submitted in writing to the Grant Subcommittee members in order to be considered.
Each application shall be reviewed and evaluated and the grants shall be awarded at the sole discretion of the FIFEC Grant Subcommittee. Selected approved grant recipients will be notified within a week after the Grant Portal closes, and provided with a password so that they can register for classes through our online Registration portal.
Grant recipients will be expected to assist the FIFEC Conference Operations Subcommittee in proctoring classes. The Operations Subcommittee’s goal is to have a minimum of two proctors for each class. Your generous help in proctoring classes may include one or more of the following tasks:

1. Stamping attendees in and out of classes for CEU credits
2. Reading the housekeeping announcements at the start of the class
3. Monitoring classroom attendees to ensure that attendees seeking CEU credits are in class a minimum of 100 minutes
4. Remind/Signal speakers when they have 5 minutes of class time remaining
5. Monitoring the doors at the evening networking event for one hour along with a FIFEC Board Member to ensure that all attendees have their FIFEC badges
The assistance of Grant/Scholarship recipients is NECESSARY AND VERY VALUABLE to the success of the conference. FIFEC and the Operations Subcommittee appreciate each recipient’s time and assistance.

In applying for a FIFEC Grant/Scholarship and signing the application, you agree to forever hold harmless and fully indemnify FIFEC from any and all liability whatsoever while attending and/or participating in the FIFEC Educational Conference and activities.
Please acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to adhere to the aforementioned policy and requirements.
