FIFEC is a not for profit educational entity whose mission is to provide high quality educational training opportunities at the lowest cost possible, to law enforcement, firefighters, government investigators, prosecutors and insurance professionals who are engaged in the fight against insurance fraud. In support of FIFEC’s mission, each year the FIFEC Grant/Scholarship Sub-Committee is tasked with awarding as many grants and scholarships to qualified applicants as are economically feasible. Grants and Scholarships may include seminar tuition, lodging, and banquet registration at no cost to the recipient or their agency.

Recipients will be expected to assist the FIFEC Conference Operations Sub-Committee in proctoring classes. Your generous help in proctoring classes may include one or more of the following tasks:

1. Stamping attendees in and out for CEU credits
2. Introducing class speakers
3. Reading and making all housekeeping announcements
4. Monitoring classroom attendees to ensure that adjuster/attendees seeking CEU credits are in class a minimum of 100 minutes
5. Distributing and collecting evaluation forms
6. Remind/Signal speakers when they have 5 minutes of class time left
7. Monitoring door at Networking Event for one hour with a FIFEC Board Member to ensure all attendees have their Badge
The Operations Sub-Committee’s goal is to have a minimum of two proctors for each class. The assistance of Grant/Scholarship recipients is NECESSARY AND VERY VALUABLE to the success of the conference. FIFEC and the Operations Sub-Committee are very appreciative of each recipient’s time and assistance.

Applicants who are teaching, instructing, or are in some other way actively participating in the FIFEC Conference will be given priority consideration by the Grant Sub-Committee. Grant/Scholarships shall be awarded following the review and evaluation of each application and will be awarded at the sole discretion of the FIFEC Grant Sub-Committee.

Any and all special needs or requests by a grant/scholarship applicant must be incorporated into their grant application package and/or must be made in writing and directed to the Grant/Scholarship Sub-Committee members in order to be considered.
